Travel Diaries

Filled with sketches, tickets stubs, pictures and watercolor drawings, travel diaries are my favorite way of re-living a trip. During the holiday, I collect every napkin, sticker, entry ticket and map I can find, and I fill up my camera roll with pictures of palaces, food, paintings, churches and my friends and family.

Back home, it's a process that can take weeks to organize and fill up the sketchbook. I select favorite items to stick in, plan the drawings and their materials, and eventually actually draw them. The last step is to write down any detail I can remember from the trip. It leads to a booklet filled to the brim with art and memories!
